Time to play catch up!

Starting back to the end of 2010...there will be lots of posts to come! HA! Let's get started.

OCTOBER 2010
Camping with the family in October is always a special time. We get to catch up with everyone and be just plain lazy! This year happened to be different than expected. We arrived at the beach with perfect toasty weather by night FREEZING and raining! Rob and I just packed warm summer clothes not anticipating this cold front coming through. It was adventure to say the least. The Crims and the Mangos stayed in my moms little pop up camper, it was a sight to see!

On the way to the beach. Comfy?

 Waiting on the Sunrise!

7 People in this one little pop up...Can you imagine? And of course we didn't find the heater until the next to last night we were there.

Colton snoozing...
Everytime he would sit up and hit the top of the canvas rain would come rushing in! Burrrr...

Boston Trip

Where has the time gone? I can't believe I have not posted in over 2 mths! It's been very busy around the Mangum household...we have moved into our new home and trying to get everything unpacked and put together! I'm working on decorating for fall and I can't wait to post a few pics.

Our 2nd big trip this year was to Boston! I haven't been back since Colton was born. Rob and I would love to get a summer home here one day...
So we thought that it would be best to drive rather than flying to avoid layovers, plus we had so much to bring! (pack-n-play, snacks and toys to keep the lil man busy for the week) Long story short, the trip up was great, we left at 2 am and drove all the way through while Colton slept, piece of cake. On the way back we left at lunch, BAD IDEA! It took 16 1/2 hrs to get home with a toddler who did not want to take a nap...next time we're flying :)

We had such a great time as always in the city and we look forward to going again!
We always have to stop and smell the flowers!

Beach Trip

This year we decided to go back to Topsail Beach. Although Colton was sick for the first three days we still had a great time. Nothing like being completely LAZY! It's amazing how much the kids have changed since our last trip to the beach....

The friendly neighbor.

So our neighborhood bunny just had babies! He/She was just so darn cute we had to pick her up. After a quick chase in the yard we caught up with her....

Catching up...

So if you're wondering what I've been up the last few weeks....the joy of boxing the house up! We have one more full week to get everything out and it's been a little stressful around here. How can three people collect so much STUFF in a few years? It's crazy!

I am so looking forward to next weekend, we'll be heading to the beach for a week and it couldn't happen at a better time. It's going to be great getting away from the grind of packing. We're still up in the air about where we are moving, we never thought our house would sell in 6 days! We've got house plans to build and a house that is almost finished to choose from. We're meeting with the bank to see what kind of loans we can get. Wish us luck!

Day at the museum.

What a beautiful day it was today. It was a little hot but with the wind blowing, oh how nice it was! I know Colton is going to sleep well tonight (hopefully anyway), he played all day long without a nap. If you are ever in the Durham area I would highly recommend checking out the Life and Science museum.
He couldn't get enough of the blocks.
I want to push the buttons.
I'm ready to ride!

My grilling men

I love watching Colton play, it's amazing how much he has changed in the last few months. How he is starting to "pretend" play. He likes to copy things that you do and I couldn't pass the chance up to get a few pics of him grilling with Daddy.
It's moments like these that I love so much!
